Families interested in attending should complete an Inquiry Form. Our staff will get back to you to share information about the program, answer questions, and walk you through the registration process.

This answer depends on how quickly your child and you move through the content. On average expect to spend about 3-4 hours online per day. We encourage families to break this up throughout the child’s day with non-screen time activities. To earn credit in a class, students are required a minimum of 30 hours of screen time.

Barker Creek will provide a Chromebook device for students. Reliable internet connectivity is required for online learning.

This program is designed to be fully digital. However, some grade level and course specific materials are provided to families and are sent to homes directly from Pearson. Some printed materials are available for students in elementary grades.

Students will receive additional support from an IEP case manager.
New students interested in enrolling will work with school staff to discuss placement and ensure that the program will meet your student's unique learning needs -

A "Learning Coach" is necessary for elementary students and parent/guardian support is highly recommended for all grade levels. The Learning Coach is an adult in the home who serves as an educational support for their student.

Students in grades 6-8 will be placed in recommended math classes based on prior skill levels. Other advanced placement classes are not offered.
Advanced placement courses are not offered for students in grades 9-12. Online students will only be able to take 2 courses online at one time, and the time frame for completing the courses is six weeks, which will not work for AP classes. -
Once enrolled at Barker Creek, a student becomes part of the Barker Creek community. He or she will earn a Barker Creek diploma, which conveys the same level of accomplishments and requirements for graduation as all CK Schools.
