January 30: Non-student day. No school.
February 2: Hex 4 begins
February 10: K-8 Enrichment Trip to Seattle Children's Theater
February 13: Non-student day. No school.
February 16: Presidents Day. No school.
February 23: K-8 Enrichment Trip to Insight Climbing Bainbridge Island

Reminder - Inclement Weather Procedures

With the weather starting to turn, it's inevitable we'll have some schedule adjustments due to inclement weather. Here's how those district decisions affect our on-campus programs and appointments here at Barker Creek:

Classroom-based

2-hour delay: No breakfast served. AM Session in study hall. PM Session runs as usual. No West Side Loop bussing.
Early release: No PM Session. No PM bussing.
Canceled: No school. Campus is closed.

K-8 Enrichment

2-hour delay: Enrichment runs as usual.
Early release: No Enrichment. Campus is open.
Canceled: No Enrichment. Campus is closed.

Advisory Meetings/Conferences/Etc

2-hour delay: Meetings prior to 9:30am are canceled.
Early release: Meetings after students have been released are canceled.
Canceled: All meetings are canceled. If your meeting is canceled due to inclement weather, please contact the appropriate staff member to discuss an alternate plan.

If you have visited the Barker Creek website lately, you probably noticed it has a new look! We expect you'll find our website even more helpful and easy to use. Visit our website to check our school calendar, see what's on the menu for lunch, read up on Graduation information, and more!

Do you do any fun activities, have any hobbies, accomplishments, or insight into Barker Creek you want to share on our social media platforms? Submit them on this form (Google Form) and you could be featured on our Barker Creek Instagram and Facebook! Please ensure all submissions are school appropriate before submittal.

Pre-Ets Workshops--Please join us!

Pre-Employment Transition Services provides job readiness training and career exploration opportunities to support students with disabilities ages 14-21 in preparing for future employment. Major focuses are on self-advocacy, work readiness training, job exploration training, counseling in post-secondary education, and work-based learning.

Vadis provides these workshops during 3rd Period on Thursdays at Barker Creek for high school students with IEPS, 504s, and documented disabilities. We would love more students to join us!
