🔨Try-a-Trade

Try-a-Trade is back for a day filled with hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking. This event is aimed at students ages 16-21 to experience the trades.

If you RSVP'd with Ms. Greeson, you were added to the list for the event. If you didn't have a chance to RSVP, you can still attend and it will be $5.00 at the door.

Try-a-Trade @ Kitsap County Fairgrounds
Event Date:  Thursday, October 22, 2026 @ 8am-12:30pm
Location: Kitsap County Fairgrounds - 1200 Fairgrounds Rd NW, Bremerton, WA 98311
This event is happening on CKSD's Thursday Conference Day

Snacks: Uncrustables, Lunchables, Cup Noodles, oatmeal, cookies, chips, Rice Krispy treats.
Drinks:  water, Gatorade, soda, hot chocolate. Coffee for adults.
STUDENTS CANNOT HAVE SNACKS UNTIL THEY SPEAK TO 3 EMPLOYERS OR COMPLETE AN ACTIVITY!

CANDY FOR PROFESSIONALISM:
BRING A PRINTED RESUME, GET A FULL SIZE CANDY.
COMPLETE A STUDENT PASSPORT, GET A FULL SIZE CANDY.
$25 or Helly Hansen rain jacket for best every hour of SURVIVAL SUIT RACES.

We have a great turn out of about 40 exhibitors. We'll have LOTS of different vehicles, vessels, hands-on activities, and next step opportunities for students. We've added Kitsap Transit and more public services - very excited for that.  We lost the local construction association, Kitsap Builds, because  "last year the students were only interested in maritime" BUT we still got good construction union reps and Andersen Construction.  Boeing can't attend this year nor Port of Seattle - but we should be A-OK!
