REMINDER: Sign up for the Westside Loop Route!

Students in the Klahowya attendance area can ride the Westside Loop bus during the middle of the school day for travel to or from BCCS. Families must submit an Additional Stop Request Form and include "BCCS Westside Loop" in the notes to be added to this route. Because this route is based on student demand, it will only continue if enough students regularly use the service.
 

Class of 2027 Graduate Meeting

Graduates should plan to attend one of our graduation meetings on Thursday, October 1st at the Barker Creek campus. Classroom-based students will attend during their Advisory. Virtual Academy students may attend either time: 9:40-10:10am or 1:10-1:40pm.

You're Invited! Fall Barker-que

When: Wednesday, Sept. 23rd, 10:45-11:45am
Where: Barker Creek campus rear parking lot & cafeteria. Please park out front & ​enter the building through the BCCS front doors
Eats: Hamburgers, hotdogs, & veggie burgers
Activities: Corn hole, ladder golf, giant Jenga, foursquare, and more!
Cost: Students eat free! Payment can be made for adult meals ($5.25) in the BCCS office. 
Dietary Accommodations: If your student is enrolled in Parent Partnership or Virtual Academy, please contact the BCCS office with any accommodations ahead of time, so we can ensure we're appropriately prepared to serve all families.

Join Barker Creek staff, families, and fellow students for food and fun! It'll be a hoot 😉
 

Therapy Dog Visits

Throughout the school year, we will have therapy dogs visiting with us on campus. If you'd like to opt your student out of any interaction with the dogs, please complete and return this opt-out form.

REMINDER: Mark your Calendars for Picture Day

Classroom-based & 9-12 Virtual Academy:
Wednesday, October 28th, 10:15 AM - 1:15 PM

Parent Partnership & K-8 Virtual Academy:
Friday, November 6th, 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Classroom-based students and those participating in Enrichment will have their pictures taken during their class sessions. Virtual Academy and Parent Partnership students not participating in Enrichment should come in during the times listed above. Please note, there will be no makeup day. If your student cannot attend their assigned picture day, they are welcome to attend the alternate date.

Order forms will be distributed to all students during Orientation. If you need an additional order form, please visit the Barker Creek office during business hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM). Alternatively, you may place your photo order online by visiting the Quality School Portraits order page here, and entering the code: BARK

Try-a-Trade

Try-a-Trade is back for a day filled with hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking. This event is aimed at students ages 16-21 to experience the trades.
