As part of CKSD’s strategic plan to strengthen account security, we will be transitioning to ClassLink as our student identity provider (IDP) and enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on student accounts.
Beginning May 19th, elementary students will move from using Google as their identity authentication tool to using ClassLink to authenticate their accounts. This change will not affect how students use their Chromebooks or Google apps — only the login process will look different.
The new login screen will appear after students restart their Chromebooks. Once restarted, they will see the updated login experience and will begin signing in through ClassLink using their username and password. Students will then be prompted to select a picture that will be required along with their credentials at each login.
Please plan for students to need extra time as they adjust to the new steps. Thank you in advance for your patience and support as we make this shift.
