Spring Break Reminder

Spring Break is almost here! This year, Spring Break runs April 6th - 10th. For all three of our programs' students, we encourage you to enjoy your vacation time! Our staff will be doing the same and will not be accessible over the break.

Enjoy your break! We look forward to seeing you when classes resume on Monday, April 13th.

Keep BCCS Graduation free -- Participate in our Chipotle fundraiser!

Barker Creek prides itself on being able to provide a fun, impactful, and FREE graduation to all Barker Creek graduates. We're raising funds to keep this tradition alive!

How to Support Barker Creek:

When: Tuesday, March 31st, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Where: Chipotle at 4350 Wheaton Way, Bremerton, 98310.
What to Do:

Mention "Barker Creek" or show the flyer when you order in the restaurant.
Or, use the code HWQQKXQ when ordering through the Chipotle app.

Graduating this year? Be sure to complete your graduation to-dos:

✔ Mark your calendar for the BCCS Grad Walk - May 8th, 10:00-11:00am

✔ RSVP for Graduation

✔ Submit your Senior Photo

✔ Mark your calendar for the Gown/Ticket Pickup Event - May 22, 9:00-11:00am

✔ Mark your calendar for the big day! Graduation ceremonies will be held on June 10th, 11:00am & 2:00pm, at Newlife Training & Events Center in Silverdale

Mark Your Calendars: SBA Testing

The Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) measures progress toward state learning standards in Math and English/Language Arts.

Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 take the SBA in May at Barker Creek. Students in grade 11 take the Washington Comprehensive Assessment (WCAS). Please note the dates below. Additional information will be sent out as we get closer to testing.

3rd-8th Testing: Monday, May 4th; Tuesday, May 5th; Monday, May 11th; Tuesday, May 12th
10th Testing: Wednesday, May 6th; Thursday, May 7th; Wednesday, May 13th; Thursday, May 14th
11th Testing: Wednesday, May 20th

Makeups will be scheduled for the week of May 18th through the 21st.
