Winter Break Reminder
All CKSD schools will be closed for the duration of Winter Break--Thursday, December 21st through Wednesday, January 3rd. Classes will resume on Thursday, January 4th. Happy Holidays from your Barker Creek staff!
Important Graduation Update for 2024
Each year, our graduating class grows a bit larger than the previous one, and graduation becomes a bigger and bigger event. We think it's wonderful! However, we recognize that as the event grows, many of our students with anxiety are less comfortable. To better honor ALL our students and to allow for additional guests per graduate, this year we will be holding not one, but TWO graduation ceremonies! On Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, we will hold a "smaller by design" ceremony at 11:00am and a larger ceremony in the afternoon at 2:00pm. We hope this helps to alleviate the stress some of our graduates may feel about a large gathering, and allow each of our graduates to truly enjoy the experience of being celebrated.
Graduates will be asked to sign up for one ceremony or the other. The sign-up form will be sent out in January, so keep an eye on your email and our socials.

Student Photos & IDs
Student photo packets and IDs have arrived! Classroom-based students will receive their photos in Advisory. Parent Partnership and Virtual Academy families may pick up their student's photo packet in the Barker Creek main office, Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 3:15pm.
*Student IDs are given to 9-12 grade students only.
Highly Capable Referrals Open Now
We are accepting referrals for the Highly Capable Program for students in grades 2 to 11 through January 12th. Parents, guardians, and community members can make a referral, and students can also refer themselves!

Report Cards
9-12 grade report cards will be live in PowerSchool on Tuesday, December 19th. As a reminder, report cards will not be mailed home.
