Impact Aid Forms
Our annual Impact Aid Survey opened on October 2nd and is available to families through the Parent Access Portal. This program helps us offset lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt federal property. Getting ALL surveys returned is critical. Thank you for your support!

Library Site Updates for 2023-24 - Reminder
The Barker Creek Library Site has been replaced with Destiny Discover! Destiny Discover is a great resource for teachers, students, and families. It features the books in the library, ebooks, interactive ebooks, audiobooks, popular books, and also allows families to look at what their student has checked out. Life Skills Survey
Thank you for being our valued partners in educating CK Schools students. As you may already be aware, students need specific relational life skills to help them succeed both in school and in life. We want to better understand how to best support those skills. In the Fall and Spring, students have an annual opportunity to self-assess their life skills and to provide us feedback on their school experiences. Later this month, students in grades 5 to 12 will participate in an online survey. Survey questions will prompt students to self-reflect on life skills such as:

setting and achieving goals
rising to challenges
believing in themselves and their abilities
their belief in their ability to grow and change
managing their feelings so they can focus on school
interacting and working with others
finding support
Student responses will provide invaluable insights how we can better support students’ strengths and needs.

Students will be able to skip questions. We will ask students to take this survey again later this school year so that we can track our progress in supporting students. For more information, please visit our Q&A on the life skills survey.

Students in Parent Partnership and Virtual Academy can access the survey via Classlink once the survey opens on October 10th. Classroom-based students will be offered the survey in their Thursday Advisories during the survey window: October 10th - 25th.

If you have any questions about the survey, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected].

Questions for grade 5 (about 6 minutes)
Questions for grades 6-12 (about 9 minutes)

*Students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 will also be asked to take the state’s Health Youth Survey. Families in those grades received a separate email with details about that survey.
