Students testing their ROVsWith 20 students participating, 9 ROVs were built and tested. Students made their own design, constructed the frames, wired/soldered the motors and control boxes, determined where to mount motors and had to decide how to both add ballasts and establish neutral buoyancy. Then, they had to figure out how to add tooling to complete challenges. There was a lot of design and redesign, tinkering and problem solving involved.

We are thankful to have a great community of volunteers to help keep the kids on the right track and offer great advice throughout the process!
