Parent Partnership

Our Parent Partnership program creates a powerful union between home and school. The program includes students in kindergarten through 12th grade. You can offer your child individualized education. And you’ll get support from a highly qualified teacher. Elementary students can also participate in enrichment opportunities.

We offer state testing, extra help for students who need it and a full library. Your child can graduate from our program with a degree from one of our high schools. Your high school-age child can participate in the Running Start program, West Sound Technical Skills Center or attend high school part time.

How the Program Works

At the beginning of the year, you and a state-certified teacher consultant work together to create a written learning plan. The plan includes what subjects you’ll teach at home, testing and your child’s involvement in the program. By joining the Parent Partnership program, you can check out textbooks and other materials. You are in charge of your child’s daily lessons and skill development.

You and/or your child and your consultant will meet monthly. Together, you’ll check your child’s progress based on the learning plan. The consultant will be in contact with your child each week to review assignments, take tests or for other learning activities. The consultant will offer suggestions to help you provide the best possible education for your child.

We offer weekly enrichment classes for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. They can also participate in field trips, physical education classes and other activities to connect with other children. We expect full-time students to spend at least 25 hours a week in learning activities.

Credits earned are applied to official district transcripts. If your child wants to earn a diploma, they must meet the same requirements as any high school student.
